hi all you beautiful people out there! I have a major, major update!
I want to shift the focus of my blog to how I stay healthy at school! Healthy cafeteria options, healthy dorm snacks, dorm workouts, etc. I’m so excited to continue my success and help you all reach yours! It hasn’t been a fast journey, but I’m finally discovering the lifestyle change of it all.

sorry, it’s been one hell of a summer, but i’ve been working my butt off, i promise(:

a note on will power:
Tomorrow is my long-awaited graduation. So like many people we have family over, and the grill’s all ablaze. Instead of saying yes to potatoes and steak with sauce and toppings, I chose grilled veggies (2 servings) and maybe 2 oz (at most) of the steak (really marinated, heavy in calories for even a tiny bit).
This is how I know that I’ve definitely made progress. I said “no.” me, myself, and I are the only ones involved in this journey, and it’s taken a looooong time to figure this out. Staying strong, guys(:
progress is beautiful.
i can do it! this long 5 day weekend is all about intense cardio sweat sessions and loading on the veggies.
I CAN DO THIS. (165 here i come, then it’s only 5 more lbs to 160! ahh!)
feeling like my mental progress is slowly catching up! over the trip where salty meals were already scheduled in, i went out of my way to buy large waters to stay hydrated, and fruit! (bananas, berries, grapes, apples, oranges). I totally thought that i had gained because the food was so dense with salt, and bad carbs, and useless calories, you know?
due to my diligence, my skin also cleared up (whereas other girls’ skin was breaking out HORRIBLY..)

non-stop. i think i’ve made FANTASTIC progress, here’s how:
can’t wait to become the runner i’ve always wanted to be. definitely starting out slowly, but working on up! here’s to another run like that later on today!
Whole grain noodles, organic strained tomato sauce, and cantaloupe for lunch! I mixed some red pepper flakes into the sauce which made the fruit taste so sweet! Natures candy:)
I downloaded the Lose It! App. And it looks like it’s going to track everything really nicely. Are there any other weightloss/diet apps that you guys recommend? I would so appreciate it!
