I’ve been really STRESSED:

i’m trying to combat a little:

 • weight gain. i’ve gained like 5 lbs since i’ve been back, but i’ve revamped my workout routine and diet! (more on that soon!)
 • acne. gross stress indicator (currently on the repair)
 • BEING SICK! i’ve had a terrible, terrible cold/ear-infection/throat-infection combo for about 3 weeks now. that’s really taken a toll on me.
 • midterms. ug

But, I’m getting better. I took some time for myself to re-evaluate some things, and now I’m back again! can’t wait to get back on track and everything with my beloved health community.

thanks for hangin’ with me, you guys! love love love you all.

xo, Tay!

FINALS:

aka stress and irregular eating. This has been consistent for about three weeks now. Because of the irregular eating, i’ve been fluctuating and am currently at 156 pounds :(

up from before, but not by an irreparable amount. As soon as i return home will be a time to detox, refocus on healthy habits (hooray for cooking real food!), and really plan out how i want to shape these habits as i return to school for the spring semester.

Being and keeping healthy at college is definitely more difficult, but not unachievable! If I can do it, so can all of you <3

How I Grocery Shop
This is my master grocery list, which means that I always have these in my pantry/fridge. I have this list saved in my phone as a note, so that when I’m in the grocery store I run through it to check if I have it all at home.I usually buy my berries & seasonal produce at local farmer’s markets, they’re always fresher & sometimes cheaper. Also, I don’t really eat bread/grains/cereal unless it’s really good or I have no other option… I just don’t like it!
What I buy all depends on season too. See seasonal chart here.
Tips:
Always go with a list!
Shop the perimeter! This typically contains the produce, dairy, meat, deli, and frozen section.
Inside the “perimeter” you are more likely to stray: the candy aisle, the juice/drinks aisle, and the snacks aisle are all bad places to buy the majority of your groceries
Look for what is on sale & stock up if it’s non-perishable
When choosing packaged produce, look at the “Use by” date and choose the longest.
Check all fruits & veggies for bruises, scratches, & mold. Yuck!
Buy frozen petite peas, berries (for smoothies or baking), and bell peppers. They’re always cheaper & there isn’t much difference.
Try to not over-buy, know how long each fruit/veggie will last & don’t waste it!
Because produce goes off so quickly I go grocery shopping 2+ times a week. This is usually what it takes to maintain a healthy lifestyle!
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask! There is a printable list here.

Day One.

i hate being fat, i hate the fact that no boys like me, i hate the fact that i can’t wear cute clothing, i hate the fact that my stomach rolls, my thighs jiggle, my arms smoosh to the side of my shirt.

i want:

-to lose weight

-to get healthier (have a successful eating plan, workout more, do yoga)

-a boy to like me

-my hipbones to show. (is that wrong?)

-to be able to wear a crop top and not feel fat

-to be able to wear bodycon skirts and look cute

-to be able to walk around in a bikini like its no big deal.

-to be pretty.

Okay, I’m starting this blog as my own inspiration for achieving a healthier, happier lifestyle. I feel like I’ve been “dieting” forever, but this time it’s the fundamental changes that are keeping me on the right track. Over the summer, I decided to become more active (run, yoga, dance, insanity workouts), and it really changed my idea of a good body. I’m not asking to be a size zero. I want to be fit, toned, thin, and overall healthy. And my tumblr starts today. (I might be making a progress blog, keep you all updated)
