dear 2011, a post for resolutions:

you were the year of realizing what wasn’t working. I worked super hard, lost like some weight, gained some back, fixed things, tried new workouts, found what i like, what i don’t like. I wore a bikini and felt comfortable, went out with friends, and had some of the most amazing times for memories that i’ll cherish for a lifetime. It’s now time to see that sometimes, weight isn’t everything. it shouldn’t ruin a good time—case in point, i gained five pounds over the christmas vacation. i was on a cruise, have a good time with family and friends. i don’t regret it, but obviously, this is about improvement so here we go, a post for resolution: 

  1. schedule workouts, make time, allow yourself to succeed.
  2. share the success with other, it’s built in motivation!
  3. upped water consumption!
  4. meet new friends 
  5. keep in touch with old ones 
  6. master a new yoga pose every month
  7. document the progression!

surely there’s more but i’ll leave these for now:)

haha thanks! I recently had to stop the online subscription (poor student status) buuut i do take into consideration the points system still! it’s going to help me start 2012 off right!

woah.. i had to stop that workout not even half way through because i felt so lightheaded! maybe i’ve been skimping on water or something. wow, not a good one. i’ll probably re-attempt another (jillian maybe?) tonight after work.

Weight loss problem #1.

When the scale says you gained three pounds (in a day might I add) because you’re so bloated from your period.

i wish i had either:

  1. enough self control to stop grazing throughout the day (it’s never bad stuff, but little bites of even fruits add up calorie wise)
  2. better idea of how many calories come in 1 serving of unmarked items (more applies if you didn’t cook the meal yourself.)
so yeah, downloaded myfitnesspal app, and so far it’s awesome! you can set daily calorie intake, it has a DV chart at the end of the day to see what nutrients you have been lacking, an a barcode scanner for easy access! it totally makes tracking a little more convenient!
